Hey everyone! I've already got Mother's Day covered for celebrating with my mom, but things are a little trickier with my dad. I've been thinking about it and the thing that would make him the happiest would be if I spent the whole day training with him. He's a super strong martial artist and it's his favourite thing to do.

[Which will be a real labour of love. There's no way she'd willingly subject herself to anything close to what her father would consider a good amount of training on a regular basis.]

I've already been getting some training, but I've never gone all out and trained for a whole day straight.

[It's never appealed to her before. Not even remotely. Regular exercise is one thing, and dancing is fun. 8+ consecutive hours of intense training is something she'll need to work herself up to if she's going to be able to move the next day.]

So...I was hoping to find people that would be willing to spar with me. I want to get strong enough to protect little kids that get drafted and I want to make my dad's Father's Day really special. I'm pretty durable and I can fly, so you don't need to worry about me being too fragile to handle it.

[She smiles and waves.]

Trash talking, huh? I've heard plenty of that at the world tournaments.

[Including from her dad.]

Nice to meet you, too. What kind of tournaments have you been to?

I've never competed in them, but my dad, brother, and friends of our family have often fought in the annual worldwide martial arts tournaments.

[precipitous]

[ cool cool COOL. ] Yeah? Are they pretty good?

voice;

[fashionably_strong]

My dad is powerful and talented enough to protect the world! My big brother is pretty amazing too, and so is Goku and...well, a lot of people I know are really good fighters, to be honest.

[Can you hear the pride in her voice, Korra?]

[ She can. And is already sure she's a better fighter than any of them. ]

Oh, yeah? Maybe we'll have to organize a tournament around here sometime. See who's really the best.

[Bulla's sure her father will win, hands down.]

That might be fun. Better to train for that than for the Malnosso's sake, that's for sure! It might be a good idea to have divisions based on skill level and who's got powers or not to keep things fun and fair.

Yeah, I guess that's a good point. I mean, most people around here aren't going to be able to go toe-to-toe with my bending.

voice;

[fashionably_strong]

Bending, huh? Are you from Aang's world, then? I know he mentioned airbending when we talked before...

voice;

[precipitous]

Yeah, actually. Except, uh, I bend the other elements. Water, earth, and fire.

voice;

[fashionably_strong]

That's pretty cool. How does bending work, anyway? Is it a power you're born with, or can people learn how to bend elements?

voice;

[precipitous]

It's something you're born with. It's all about controlling the element with the movements of your body. Most people can only bend one element.

voice;

[fashionably_strong]

You have got to show me what it looks like when you bend an element.

[It sounds very interesting to her.]

The closest thing we have is using ki, but that's just having a lot of life force energy and using it for stuff like energy blasts or flying. Some people can do really amazing things with it, though.

[precipitous]

Whoa, wait - you can fly? [ Granted, airbenders could glide, but that was different. ]

voice;

[fashionably_strong]

Yeah, I can. I'm not a great warrior like my dad, but he did teach me how to do that. It's pretty useful at times.

[Like scoping out the mall parking lot to see how crowded it's going to be, or making sure she's not late for school.]

voice;

[precipitous]

[ Holy junk. ]

Can you show me? When we spar, I mean.

voice;

[fashionably_strong]

Sure! I'll show you how I fly and you can show me your bending.

[Hopefully not during their spar, or at least after they've demonstrated for one another outside of sparring first. Bulla wants to see what bending looks like when it's not directed at her, and Korra will probably appreciate flight more when she's not trying to hit someone using it to dodge.]

Uh, anytime, really. I've got airbending training in the mornings, but after that, I'm free as a dragon hawk.
