Hey everyone! I've already got Mother's Day covered for celebrating with my mom, but things are a little trickier with my dad. I've been thinking about it and the thing that would make him the happiest would be if I spent the whole day training with him. He's a super strong martial artist and it's his favourite thing to do.

[Which will be a real labour of love. There's no way she'd willingly subject herself to anything close to what her father would consider a good amount of training on a regular basis.]

I've already been getting some training, but I've never gone all out and trained for a whole day straight.

[It's never appealed to her before. Not even remotely. Regular exercise is one thing, and dancing is fun. 8+ consecutive hours of intense training is something she'll need to work herself up to if she's going to be able to move the next day.]

So...I was hoping to find people that would be willing to spar with me. I want to get strong enough to protect little kids that get drafted and I want to make my dad's Father's Day really special. I'm pretty durable and I can fly, so you don't need to worry about me being too fragile to handle it.

[She smiles and waves.]

[Isn't her daughter just adorable? It really warms her inside to see how much Bulla loves Vegeta, and she must do so because even without having raised her she already knows the child isn't the "train all day" type. The way Bulla is does nothing but hammer more and more the fact that the Vegeta she knows will eventually change, just a bit and for the better. It works even better than just being with him here, at least Bulma finds it easier to deal with.]

I can't help with making you better at fighting.

But I'm sure I can help you with improving your stamina and endurance. I know you already have lots of that, but I doubt you're on a level capable to train with your father the whole day without ending exhausted and bedridden for days due muscle ache.

[Well, she had promised Vegeta she'd help his daughter train. And hey, it turned out she didn't even need to try and wheedle her into it! So, naturally she responds]

I'll happily help you, Bulla. Your father is a good friend, and I just know he'd love it if you became stronger.

Not to mention, I can always use a little exercise myself.

It might not be much for someone with your potential, but I can teach you a few things that might help you last for a while against him if you can get it right.

Just. Spare me the makeover. We can figure out something else if you really wanna pay me back, but I don't mind doing this. Finding someone new to work with is reward enough.

I'm kind of grateful that the gravity in the Battle Dome only goes up to ten times Earth's gravity. At least that means training with Dad won't be as brutal as it could be.

[She laughs a bit at that, knowing full well that her mom is one of the only people who can really understand exactly what it could be like.]

Thank you, Saori. I wasn't that interested in training at first, but when I heard that the Malnosso sometimes take little kids...that's when I looked more seriously at it. And I thought it would be a good way to surprise Dad because it's the last thing he'd expect me to do.

Um...thank you! I really just want to get strong enough to handle training with my dad without feeling like I'm dying the next day. If I'm that strong, then I'll also be strong enough to protect little kids, so...

They're days created to show your mother and father how much you love them.

What splendid days then! It fills my heart with gladness to know that such days exist.

What should one do if their parents are not here or gone?

[That reminds Bulla that there are so many people who don't have any family here. She's lucky, she really is.]

Hey! I didn't realize Vegeta's kid had shown up here? You're going to spar with your dad all day for Father's day? Good luck, he doesn't seem like the type of guy I'd want to spend all day fighting. Don't let him run you too ragged!

[No offer to help though. He's not much of fighter outside of a gunfight.]

I guess my dad's really got himself a reputation around here, huh? I'll probably be run ragged no matter what, but I think if I train a lot, I at least won't hurt for too many days after.

Yep. We've met. He's kinda hard, but he ain't so bad after a while.

Still-- phew! Brave girl! I'm not sure I'd wanna train for a whole day with him, and I like a good fight every once in a while.

[He lapsed into silence for a moment, thinking his options over.]

...I've got a few ideas about doing this, but we can hash it out in person. When did you wanna meet?

I can be changed and meet you in about half an hour. I'd suggest the Battle Dome but he's there so often that I'm going to try and avoid training there.

Galdrars are songs of my world that those of my clan can only use.

They have several abilities within them such as renewing vigor or healing.

Don't suppose he's the kind of man who's a softy for his kids when it comes to training, is he? Maybe you can get him to at least take a long lunch break if you say you want to cook him something for lunch.

And just, take a very long time to make something simple. Like, I dunno, pasta or something. And don't forget to add the fact that you should let food settle after eating and not rush back into things!

Well, he's always been a lot softer on me than he was on my older brother...but I'd whine and pout my way out of all the really hard stuff. He did make sure I know how to defend myself and how to use my ki to fly, though.

[She giggles a little at the suggestion.]

That's actually a pretty good idea. He has a big appetite.

Yeah, he would be there a lot.

How about the beach then? It's open, you're dad's not gonna be anywhere near there, and the sand makes for an interesting place to maneuver.
