4th shopping trip [Voice] Backdated to August 13th

[Though she typically prefers video communication, Bulla deliberately selects voice. It's difficult to tell whether she sounds a little off because she's tired, depressed, or sick, but she's definitely not her usual upbeat and sociable self.]

Hi, everyone. I could use some suggestions for a distraction or three. Preferably something where you don't have to move around much.

[Truthfully, she's tired, depressed, and not feeling well, though it's due to an injury rather than illness. Her mother has vanished from Luceti, and she's recovering from the worst injury she's ever had in her life courtesy of a cultist.]

...and if you're suggesting reading, please suggest a specific book, because I've already read everything I have here in the house.

Do you have any other suggestions for things that a person can do that don't involve moving around too much? I'm kind of going stir crazy here.

Hm...other than reading, there's other things some people do to pass the time at home, like watching TV or any movies they own, or playing with cards or board games. [But this is Luceti, so TV is out of the question unless you find a movie here you want to watch somehow--not to mention that he has no idea how familiar some people here are with movies in general.] Are there any games you've played before that you like?

Hmm....well, I've played video games that are kind of fun, but I haven't played as many board games. I haven't seen any of the ones I played when I was younger around here, either.

[Not that she played too many of those. She was more the type of kid to play dress-up, or she played with dolls.]

I'm open to learning how to play new ones, though.

[Hehe] I must admit, I haven't seen some of the games that we played when I was younger either. [Or rather, there may or may not be a silly Pokemon-related pun name given to some of the games he had in his world that are more or less the same as other games people had.] But I could try to look and see what they've got here too in addition to dropping off our books for you?

Sure. Maybe we'll discover that there's a fun game that neither of us knew about before.

[She's willing to keep an open mind about it, anyhow. Playing a board game or a card game would be far preferable to being left alone with her thoughts. There's only so much reading an extroverted girl like her can do, even if she is feeling less sociable than normal.]

House number twenty nine. It's in between community housing two and four, near the river.

[He does have an odd way of saying things sometimes, but he's nice enough that Bulla chooses not to say anything about it.]

[Cilan would be lying if he said he wasn't slightly self-conscious of how strange his speech patterns may sound to other people, but he's glad that it doesn't seem to bother anyone here too much.]

Alright. I'll stop by to drop off the books and any games I've found as soon as I can! I promise not to keep you waiting too long! [Surely Luceti has something worth playing here, right?]

[It may be odd, but Cilan is nice and polite. If he was mean, rude, and/or creepy, people would likely be far less tolerant. Since Cilan is none of the above, Bulla just thinks of it as one of his quirks, and perhaps using expressions that are more common in his own world.]

Oh, you're welcome Bulla! We're happy to help!

[And with that, he'll set off! It's a little while before he arrives, having stopped by the convenience and item shops momentarily to see if he could find any board games or what not, but once Cilan thinks he's found something suitable, he'll arrive at Bulla's house along with the books he offered too and ring her doorbell!]

[When Bulla answers the door, although her clothing mostly covers her injured shoulder, some bandaging can be seen on the left side near her shirt collar. She's also notably only using her right arm, keeping the left one out of the way.]

Hello Bulla. [And yes, he does notice the bandaging, but...would it be rude to ask what caused the injury? Maybe, maybe not, but to just stare would be even ruder, so for now he just offers a smile too.] How are you feeling?

I've been better...but I'm recovering well.

[She can downplay the injury and conceal the extent of it, but she's not going to lie and claim that she's completely fine.]

I just have to be careful until it's mostly healed.

I see. In that case, I hope your recovery will continue with a smooth taste. [Whatever the heck that's supposed to mean. In the meantime though, he holds up a bag that has the books and stuff.] I brought the books and games I could find as promised. Hopefully one of these will be able to help pass the time until you're feeling better again.

[It's an odd way of saying it, but Bulla decides to just interpret it at him wishing her a speedy recovery.]

I appreciate it nonetheless.

[She takes the offered bag with her good arm.]

[She pushes the door open and leans on it so he's got plenty of room to pass.]

[Yeah, that's pretty much what he meant...in his own odd way, but sincere nonetheless. He would have carried the bag inside as well for her, but then it's already out of his hands before he could protest.]

Mm--thank you for inviting us in. [This is accompanied by a polite nod before he steps inside. He doesn't walk away too far into the house though, stepping back and to the side so that she may pass by and lead the way to wherever she would like for them to sit.]

[Bulla walks by and closes the door with her hip, leaning her body weight against it just enough to close it, then leads the way to the living room.]

Have a seat wherever you like, Cilan. Do you want any water?

[Water? It's a little simple as far as most offered drinks go, but otherwise he can't really complain.]

Sure, that sounds nice. [Oh, but--] Do you want any help, or will you be alright?

[He may be a guest, but he still wants to help out in any he can if needed!]

[They don't have anything else to drink at the moment thanks to her injuries and her father being away. Bulla drinks water more than any other beverage anyhow.]

I'll be okay, but thanks. A glass isn't too heavy for me to lift.

[And flight makes reaching for those higher up shelves much easier.

[Much as she appreciates the offer, Bulla wants to be able to do basic things like this for herself. She doesn't like feeling helpless, even if her friends don't mind offering their assistance.

It's a little more awkward, having to compensate for her injured shoulder, but she manages to pour two glasses of water and brings them out to the living room. She sets Cilan's down first, then quickly switches her own glass to her good hand before sitting down.]
