2nd shopping trip [Video, filtered from Vegeta]

Hey everyone! I've already got Mother's Day covered for celebrating with my mom, but things are a little trickier with my dad. I've been thinking about it and the thing that would make him the happiest would be if I spent the whole day training with him. He's a super strong martial artist and it's his favourite thing to do.

[Which will be a real labour of love. There's no way she'd willingly subject herself to anything close to what her father would consider a good amount of training on a regular basis.]

I've already been getting some training, but I've never gone all out and trained for a whole day straight.

[It's never appealed to her before. Not even remotely. Regular exercise is one thing, and dancing is fun. 8+ consecutive hours of intense training is something she'll need to work herself up to if she's going to be able to move the next day.]

So...I was hoping to find people that would be willing to spar with me. I want to get strong enough to protect little kids that get drafted and I want to make my dad's Father's Day really special. I'm pretty durable and I can fly, so you don't need to worry about me being too fragile to handle it.

[She smiles and waves.]

Oh yeah, I remember hearing something about my dad's hair woes. I have to wonder if people were just teasing him to get a reaction out of him or something. I mean, nobody's ever given me grief about mine.

I don't know. Green's a perfectly normal, if rare, hair color where I'm from. [ Naruto has weirder eyes than anything else but Sakura has that pink mullet and people made fun of her forehead instead so.... ] One of my friend's has pink hair and no one has ever said anything about it.

[Bulla blinks and lifts a few strands of her hair.]

Huh...must be the lighting in the room or the book's video camera. It's more of a bluish turquoise. You'll see when I meet you for training.

It's probably just the lighting, or, Konoha's color and my teammate's most frequently worn and referred to color is green, so they just kinda blur together in my mind. [ Regardless, Tenten is very interested in the shade of her hair! It's a very pretty shade! ]

So you're kind of focused on the colour by accident, huh? How long have you had this hue fixation?

[She grins playfully at that.]

Oh, shut up! [ huffpuff. Tenten will refuse to answer this question directly. ] When you hear nothing but Konoha's very own green beasts, and see nothing but skintight green jumpsuits for your whole life and live your life in a city surrounded by a forest, everything just starts to look green.

[Bulla tries not to laugh. She really does. But she can't quite help the giggle that escapes.]

Oh wow, talk about a green overdose. Well, I know what colour to not include in your thank you makeover.

What thank you makeover?! I don't need a makeover! I'm just fine the way I am! [ Tenten will not accept a makeover ever. These twinbuns are sacred to her. ]

Oh, the makeovers were what I was offering in exchange for people helping me train. Or I can help you pick out an outfit for a special occasion if you'd like?

I guess I'd like that. I'm not interested in a makeover, but I do want to help people get stronger. It's a necessary skill here. [ She pauses. ] You never know when you're going to be drafted or put in a dangerous situation here.

Yeah...and I'd like to be able to protect people who get drafted and can't fight at all. Like little kids.

[She still finds it horrifying that anyone can be drafted.]

That's a pretty noble goal! I did that once, on some moon. A little girl wanted to go out collecting moon rocks and she was kinda adamant about it. So I made her focus exclusively on the ground as I tossed explosives, swords, and knives from above. Whenever someone approached me for close range combat, I made her play admire her current moon rock, where she just described what it looked like as long as humanly possible. [ Tenten is kinda weird. And her child rearing skills are not the best. Still, they were adequate. ]

Moon rocks? You mean the missions here take you all the way to moons?

[She blinks.]

I was thinking I'd mostly just fly kids out of harm's way and stuff. But it would be good to get better at fighting so that if I had to fight, I'd be able to.

Well, the drafts do. I recall one being fought in a mine shaft, and another one in the deepest layer of the ocean, I think.


Your dad is Vegeta. I'm sure talent runs in the family. You'll get the hang of fighting in no time. I'm sure by the first day of our training, you'll be able to take on whatever will come your way. Just remember, always aim for the wings! They're the instant killers, after all.

[Even if she thinks she'll probably wind up doing so. She's not exactly anywhere near her dad's level.]

...I'm not really looking to kill anyone. I just want to knock them out.

Oh, in that case, we can make you skilled at knocking people out too. I'll teach you some of the places I am for when I just want to knock someone out cold for questioning later. [ Wait until she learns about her strength. Then it's going to be like, "honey there's no way you aren't killing a man with this" ]

Okay, I'd like that much better. I could only really see myself killing someone if there was no other way to protect people.

[She wouldn't like it, but she can accept the idea.]

When you're drafted, it's war. You're always on the assumption that if you don't incapacitate them, they'll kill someone else. It's always preferable to kill.

[Bulla shifts uncomfortably.]

...I'll just have to hope that I don't get drafted, then. Or any little kids.

[Or anyone with no training whatsoever. She doesn't have much because her father never forced it on her, but she learned the basics from the best.]

So. Um. Training! When should we meet?

It's okay. If you're still learning and drafted, we can work together to protect the kids and each other! [ She giggles. ]

How about this Tuesday? We can go for breakfast and we can talk about previous experiences before training.

Either or! If you go with action I might be a little slow since I'm actually ill right now. If you want to just handwave it, then that's fine. In either case, I'd like Tenten getting punched through a tree and she'll teach her some tips with tossing knives/swords/archery and see which one suits her best. But after the punch she'll most likely switch to taijutsu oriented things because damn girl that strength.
