Hey everyone! I've already got Mother's Day covered for celebrating with my mom, but things are a little trickier with my dad. I've been thinking about it and the thing that would make him the happiest would be if I spent the whole day training with him. He's a super strong martial artist and it's his favourite thing to do.

[Which will be a real labour of love. There's no way she'd willingly subject herself to anything close to what her father would consider a good amount of training on a regular basis.]

I've already been getting some training, but I've never gone all out and trained for a whole day straight.

[It's never appealed to her before. Not even remotely. Regular exercise is one thing, and dancing is fun. 8+ consecutive hours of intense training is something she'll need to work herself up to if she's going to be able to move the next day.]

So...I was hoping to find people that would be willing to spar with me. I want to get strong enough to protect little kids that get drafted and I want to make my dad's Father's Day really special. I'm pretty durable and I can fly, so you don't need to worry about me being too fragile to handle it.

[She smiles and waves.]

I don't burn too easily, so I don't think that should be a problem anyway. Noon sounds good, though.

[Bulla can't help but chuckle at the phrase 'flying father'.]

That might be fun. Better to train for that than for the Malnosso's sake, that's for sure! It might be a good idea to have divisions based on skill level and who's got powers or not to keep things fun and fair.

[Bulla touches down after flying to the beach. She's got a bag, and she even brought a book in case Cliff arrived there before she did, but it looks like that wasn't necessary.]

Hi Cliff! How should we begin?

[Bulla can't help it. She actually starts giggling.]

Has anyone ever told you that you're kind of a dork, Vash?

[Thing about Cliff was that he always arrived early. He looked like a big, dumb guy, but don't judge him so quickly. Although he didn't fully expect Bulla to come flying in, he wasn't terribly surprised. He had seen Vegeta fly already, and she was the Saiyan's daughter.

It only made sense.

He turned around and flashed her a grin.]

Seeing as you're more skilled than I thought, we'll begin by making a little deal. You've gotta promise that you'll keep it too, at least while we're at this. Think you can handle it?

Vah- Vegeta-san?! He has already bested me in battle! And... he is a father?!

Whoa whoa whoa, I never said I was skilled. I said in my request that I could fly.

[To her, there's a difference. Being able to fly means she's got halfway decent ki control, but she doesn't consider herself to be a skilled fighter in the slightest. The only thing she's sure she could do fighting-wise is make an ordinary human thug trying to rob her really regret that life choice.]

[It's not terribly surprising that her dad's been sparring with others.]

Well, yeah. I don't think there's any other guys named Vegeta around here. ...unless there's an ancestor here that I didn't know about, but I'm sure Dad would have found out before I did. He's way better at sensing ki than I am.

I see. He certainly did not appear to be ancient. He was spry and young, with jagged hair that radiated with youth. I had no idea of his parental status.

I meant more like...you know how people can come from different points in time? Technically, it would be possible for my grandfather to show up here as a ten year old.

[And wouldn't that be weird? She's pretty sure the Vegeta in question is her father, though.]

Dad's older than he looks. If we're talking about the same Vegeta, he's not very tall, but he's got big muscles and broad shoulders. His hair does stick up, and he looks like he's grumpy a lot of the time, even when he's not.

Just a lucky guess.

Well, flying's a little more than what I can do, and it was that speed that got me.

[She might not be a genius like her mother is, but her parents didn't raise a fool.]

Flying just means I can control my ki well enough to manage. It doesn't make me a good fighter. My dad is a good fighter.

[The next day, at exactly noon, Saori is waiting on the beach for Bulla. She's dressed in a judo-gi, with another held under her arm for the girl, as well as some gloves.]

I think I understand better now! You wish that your grandfather was a child so that you could raise him... Very admirable, Bulla-san!

Ah... I believe that description matches him! He certainly seemed displeased when we met. I wondered if it could be something disagreeing with his digestive system, but I did not dare to ask.

...that wasn't what I was saying at all, actually.

[Seriously, where did he even get that? She shrugs it off.]

Oh, that's Dad's usual facial expression. How did your fight with him go, anyway?

Oh? I see. Perhaps you are better off appreciating your springtime of youth than looking for grandfathers to raise, after all!

I was defeated, and I do not believe I struck any lasting blows. However, I was not crippled in defeat and have been training hard in order to endeavor to overcome him!

I think I'd like to avoid raising kids until I'm at least thirty.

[If nothing else, she can appreciate Lee's nerve. He had to be skilled to have even struck any blows, too. No matter how confident her father was, he wasn't one to give people free hits.]

Well, I'm not really much of a fighter at all, but I could at least help you prepare for fighting a person who can fly.

[Bulla arrives wearing a one piece bathing suit underneath some black pants with a pink stripe down the side of the legs and a matching pink t-shirt. She flew here, and touches down.]
