That might work for the specialized workers where it would be difficult to find a replacement for, but seriously...try and think realistically instead of seeing the outcome you want as the only possible one.

[That trait alternates between being endearing and aggravating, depending on what they're talking about. It's aggravating when she sees him setting himself up for failure, but endearing in that he doesn't let minor setbacks throw him into a bad mood. It all depends on the seriousness of the situation.]

Come on. We're going shopping. I'll even pay for a bouquet of flowers for your girlfriend if you apply for work in other places. A really nice bouquet.

Really? [Damn, Bulla has found his weakness, his girlfriend.] Even if I don't get a job interview with them? [Ugh, he doesn't want a new job and wants to be sure that Fluttershy won't miss out from his lack of enthusiasm! He needs to know all the rules to getting a nice bouquet!]

You need to hand out resumes looking clean and presentable, and you need to at least pretend you're interested in working for them.

[Something other than spit AND work. He peers around the shops their passing when suddenly he realizes something.] I'm going to have to try these clothes on, aren't I?

[Luckily his scars of the past twenty years are gone for now, but it doesn't make clothes shopping any less boring without them.]

Of course. It's not like I've shopped for you enough to know what's going to fit right without you trying it on.

[And he dresses sloppily enough that she's not going to credit him with being able to guess his own size by sight alone, either.]

[He sighs, defeated.] Yeah, I do. As long as I still look like me and it's comfortable.

Why wouldn't you look like you? It's not like I'm suggesting that you get plastic surgery. Just new clothes.

Uncle Vash, it never hurts to have at least one nice three piece suit, for when you want to make a good impression.

Mostly we'll just look at dress pants, dress shirts and a nice pair of shoes.

Just because looks aren't the most important thing doesn't mean that they don't matter at all. And looks are how you're judged at first until people get to know you. So I'm going to make sure you look good.
