Well, it depends on how much dancing and walking around you're going to do. Mine aren't very high because I know I'm not going to be sitting for much of the evening at all.
[Bulla refuses to hurt her ankles trying to balance on 4-5 inch heels. That kind of injury was terrible for a cheerleader.]
Personally, I'd suggest something no more than three inches high....and if you can find a dark blue that matches your dress, you can go with that, too.
